Real Financial Reform

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

House and Senate representatives, please stop the nonsense already and address the real reasons for our financial dilemma.  Instead of building a $30/billion dollar “bailout fund” (that’s what it really is) and looking for ways to control businesses that are too big to fail,   why not consider: Letting them fail.  If we let Goldman Sachs, [...]

Job Killing Policies

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

John Boehner’s Leader Alert today is titled “As Americans Ask “Where Are the Jobs?” Obama Advisor Pushes for Even More Tax Hikes”.  It talks about Paul Volcker’s (President Obama’s advisor) recommendation to implement a Value Added Tax (VAT).  As the article explains, this will increase costs and cause further job losses. The article also includes details on other [...]

Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010

Today’s signing, by President Obama, of the healthcare bill continues the systematic takeover of private business by the progressive movement.  With the help of Patrick Murphy’s votes, our government has taken over the following: The banks (TARP) The automotive industry (GM) The housing industry (Freddie and Fannie) Health-care (with the added benefit of giving enforcement [...]

Another waste of taxpayer money

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Yesterday, I received a letter stating that next week they’ll be sending the 2010 census form.  In this era of government overspending, do we really need to waste money sending out letters stating that a letter will be coming?  How wasteful! Share or bookmark:

Report Card on Patrick Murphy

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

It’s been over three years since Patrick Murphy was elected Congressman of Pennsylvania’s 8th district.  Since there has been recent talks about report cards for President Obama, I thought it would be a good time to measure Patrick Murphy’s performance since being elected.  Congressman Murphy consistently brings up being a “Blue Dog Democrat”.  In this [...]

The Fear Of The Unknown On The Economy

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

It appears that our representatives in Washington have finally gotten around to discussing the creation of private sector jobs.  I welcome these discussions, although they are long overdue, as private sector jobs are the only real way to set our economy on the path to sustained growth.  Washington is, however, ignoring a major contributor to [...]
