The Government Takeover Continues
Today’s signing, by President Obama, of the healthcare bill continues the systematic takeover of private business by the progressive movement. With the help of Patrick Murphy’s votes, our government has taken over the following:
- The banks (TARP)
- The automotive industry (GM)
- The housing industry (Freddie and Fannie)
- Health-care (with the added benefit of giving enforcement to the IRS)
- Education financing (part of the health-care bill gives the government full control over student loans – except for one bank as a bribe to it’s member of Congress)
And all of this with no cuts to any other programs. This is all financially unsustainable and detrimental to job creation (wasn’t that supposed to be the number one priority. Next on the list, illegal immigration amnesty reform. It’s going to take a LOT of work to undo this mess. I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL NOVEMBER 2010.
