E-mail from Patrick Murphy

Today, I received a bulk e-mail from Patrick Murphy.  I must have gotten on his e-mail list from my online feedback to him on the issues.  The subject line read “Cutting Waste in Washington and Saving Taxpayer Dollars”.  I thought it was a joke, at first.

It went on to talk about how he is looking out for us by:

  • Reducing government waste and inefficiency – He says he voted for $16 billion in cuts including the F-22s the Pentagon said they didn’t need.  He forgot to mention the TRILLIONS of dollars of additional spending that he also voted for.
  • Eliminating Medicare Fraud – He talks about introducing the “Improving Medicare Policy for Reimbursements through Oversight and Efficiency (IMPROVE) Act”. This is the bill to require electronic deposit of funds.  A token act that will do little.
  • Voting Against the Congressional Pay Raise – With the leadership PAC money, who needs a raise.
  • Providing Tax Relief for the Middle Class – Talks about the Making Work pay tax credit of $400 for singles and $800 for married people.  So, he saved a family $800, but put them all in an additional $15,603 of debt.  Gee, thanks!

The spin has started.  Do you think yesterday’s election in Massachusetts had anything to do with this e-mail?

The people are awakened and will see right through this spin.  Can’t wait until November!
