Am I staying in the 8th district Congressional race?

By Jeff

Since Mike Fitzpatrick’s announcement, I have been asked whether or not I intend to stay in the race for the 8th Congressional district.  The individuals and groups that I have spoken to, since my announcement to run last September, have made it very clear that they want to choose their candidate in an open primary.  Therefore, I have every intention of staying in the race and continuing to spread my message of:

1) Controlling spending by freezing federal spending at pre-bailout levels

2) Creating jobs in the United States by:

  • Modifying the tax code to “level the playing field” and encouraging job creation in the U.S., rather than overseas
  • Using our own natural resources to bring billions of dollars into our economy while creating new jobs, funding alternative energy initiatives, improving our national security, and reducing our national debt

3) Making our representatives accountable to the people by:

  • Implementing “Real” campaign finance reform
  • Implementing “Real” lobby reform and disclosure
  • Imposing term-limits for all members of the Congress and Senate

4) Upholding our Constitution

With your support, we can send a “Schott of common-sense” to Washington and all get back on the road to economic recovery!
